There are very few people in this world who are real-life superheroes. hey lurk about in the guise of ordinariness and surprise us with their calm determination and ability to surpass every expectation set upon them! We at Porter, have an entire league of such extraordinary gentlemen! Today we would like to introduce one of them to you, code name Bhaijaan.
Bhaijaan aka Sheikh Pasha was born in Wilson Garden, Bangalore to Sabjan Saab and Mohabjaan. His father was a farmer and mother a housewife. He was only able to complete his education till class VI and had to start working from an early age to help his father. As a child he had a singular aim in life, to ensure that his family does not feel the pangs of poverty and that he earn this livelihood honestly. In his quest to make a decent living Sheikh Pasha learnt to drive and started working as a driver.
Our extraordinary gentleman used to work at the Naka and take every possible trip he got. Earnings were meagre and fluctuating and he was unable to provide enough for his family. Overtime his family had grown from a three-person family to include his wonderful wife Fouziya and children Afsan and Jishan. Despite working full time and getting help from Fouzia he was not able to provide the life he wanted for his family which included educating his children in good schools. It was at this juncture that he heard about Porter, through a friend and his life and ours took a complete and happy turn!
Bhaijaan is a self-defined man who learnt everything from life and experience. His dream is for his children to receive the education he never did, school and college included. He believes that education is the foundation to everything in life and therefore ensured that his children Afsan and Jishan study and learn all that he never could. Today based on his hard work and partnership with Porter, Sheik Pasha drives his own Tata Ace and can comfortably pay an EMI of 15,000 every month. The reasons for his success are not difficult to understand. Not only is he driven and hardworking, but he is also committed to his profession, never refuses a trip and is always on time ready to lend a helping hand to his customers!
Another reason for the success of this extraordinary gentleman is his other superpower, his honesty. His customer testimonials are sheer testaments to this. One of our customers shared this wonderful story about Bhaijaan. On one of his memorable trips, the said customer had applied a coupon code and received a discount which Sheikh Pasha did not receive as his battery ran out. Apologising profusely to the customer, he took the original amount as mentioned in his account previously and left. Upon reaching home and charging his phone he got the notification for the discounted amount. Horrified, Bhaijaan drove back the entire way back and returned the extra money. The customer surprised by such honesty called us and shared this story with us. If this is not true professional commitment, then what is!
Sheikh Pasha wants simple things in life. He wants his children to be educated, his wife and parents to be happy! His personal ambitions are big, just like his heart. He would like to, Insha Allah become a mini truck dealer and build his own house. The house is his primary ambition, the dealership second, it is something he has kept only for himself, something he would like to do only if everyone else is content. Bhaijaan believes that his real powers come from Porter wherein he found the confidence to believe in himself and weave the life he always dreamed of for his family and himself. Porter helped him live his motto, which like his idol Salman Khan is ‘Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di toh mai khud ki bhi nahi sunta’ and he has truly committed to Porter.
