Part I: Porter and our Partners
Families are circles of strength and togetherness forged on love, respect and trust. Families give you the roots to stand tall and strong and can signify a lot more than blood relations. At Porter, our partners stand for family and we believe that growth can only be achieved through a mutually symbiotic relationship. With the aim of nurturing, furthering and sustaining this relationship with our partners Porter began a Rewards and Recognition Progam in 2017.
We salute and celebrate our dedicated partners by not only giving them monetary incentives but also health insurance (on-call doctors, subsidized medicines etc.) and scholarships for their children to promote a wholesome growth cycle. By bringing about growth, health and security for their families we are assured that this cycle of positive change that we promote is sustained and passed on to the next generation.
We conducted our 3rd RnR in March 2019 for our driver partner family in 6 beautiful events held across the cities of Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. The functions were attended by 1000 plus partners with their families in their respective cities. These events are conducted on a bi-annual basis on a point based system with points being calculated per 5-star rating. The incentives for partners who earn the highest reward points include prizes ranging from home appliances to Gold coins with the top performer going home with the bumper prize of a Honda Activa. A total of 500+top performing partners from our network across all the cities were awarded during the course of the events.
Pranav Goel, CEO and co-Founder of Porter shared his vision about the RnR saying, “We believe in the ‘Partnership of Self Respect’. We have received incredible feedback from our driver and owner community for our rewards and loyalty program. Porter as a brand is committed to uplifting and motivating the driver community by giving them the respect they deserve for their exceptional performance.
Pranav further added, “ Another key objective behind such events is to use our platform to build an interactive and involving relationship with the drivers and their families.” Another major announcement was made by Pranav in order to make the new RNR programme better and bigger! “From the corresponding cycle, Porter in collaboration with Mahindra Supro Profit Truck will be giving out a Mega Bumper prize comprising of a Mahindra Supro mini truck worth 5 lakhs. We thus hope to continue promoting and sustaining a symbiotic relationship between Porter and the driver partners.”
Our winner from Delhi Vikas Udar who was awarded a motorbike for his efforts and superior service given to customers shared “This company has given me everything I have ever dreamed of. My vehicle EMI’s will be over this year. I then plan to add to my fleet and buy another vehicle which I will also attach to Porter.”
The success of R Perumal, our winner from Chennai is a testament to the success of this event. He expresses his happiness saying “I am so thankful to Porter for giving me the opportunity to work and earn money to my full potential. Hard work is definitely rewarded here,”. He also added that he plans to gift the bike to his wife as he had not been able to get one earlier due to budget constraints.
Irfan Ali, driver partner who won the bumper prize in Mumbai joined Porter in 2018 with a vision of relocating his whole family to Mumbai and provide good education to his children. He said, “My mantra to success is to not leave any trip be it of lesser value or more and always serve with a smile”.
